30.september

Tomorrow is already October - yay! I love autumn!
Although weather wise it's far from autumn.
Last week I brought out my warm woolen jumper but this week has been like summer (26 Degrees every day). I'm not very fond of warm weather, so everything is extra tiring for me. Ugh.

I watched "Jane Eyre" on wednesday with Weronika and decided that I still don't like it. Well, I like it but not as much as most people I know do. The film was realy well made and pretty but that was it. After that we visited CKs with Weronika, just for the old days! And then I went to Weronika's place and once again was shocked about how wonderful everything is there. And I managed to get rooms for me and Kristina in Weronika's house for next year, that's how good planner I am :D

On Thursday we went to Sandra's to make pancakes! I only got to eat two because I had to rush up the hill to usher at the theatre. But they were really lovely pancakes! Really lovely! But rushing up the hill with all this heat is a bit of a suicide, I felt terrible afterwards and the play was a bit disturbing and disgusting also, so that didn't help it either.

And tonight we're going to try the choral union with Kristina, just to see what it is like here.

28.september

Kristina is back now and most days I've spent with her. On Monday we went to our drama curriculum meeting, responsible people as we are, never missing a lecture. It was about theatre passport that we have to buy again this year and then about going outside your comfort zone and doing things you'd normally wouldn't. Well it all made me think a bit, I still think, occessionally.
After the meeting we went to a BBQ that we accidentally saw and well free food is my favourite kind of food! And oh the joy on the peoples' faces when they discovered that there are free beers and ciders given out. We still drank lemonade.

Also Weronika's back! I heard a knock on my door and went to open it but there wasn't anyone there. So I went to look down the staircase that mabe the someone has already leaving and then Weronika jumped out from the kitchen all laughing and then we hugged for a loong time! It was so nice to see her again!

And I finally have neighbour. It's a boy called Peter from Bulgaria. And now there's only one empty room and it's going to belong to Peter's girlfriend. Our house will be packed soon! We have 2 Polish, 2 Estonians, 2 Bulgarians and a British old man in the house. Quite international!

And then the three of us - Peter, Kristina and I - sit on the stairs and one at a time connect to the internet with the cabel because all of us have really shitty WiFi at our rooms (if any at all). The Landlady doesn't know what do and neither do we. The Landlady told me that there's going to be 24h computer room in town because there are too many students which is of course a very nice thing but it still isn't as good as having WiFi in your room. I can't for example skype in the computer room or on the stairs.. I really hope that this internet problem will get sorted out soon, it's kind of getting on my nerves already.

And today Niall and Silver just randomly came and visited me. That was really lovely. An evening with tea, candies, laughter, wierd accents and card games. Weronika and Kristina also joined and we played many wierd games and had many wierd conversations (and a bit of flexibility contest, what ever friends :P).

And that's how it quietly goes here in not-so-quiet-anymore-Aberystwyth. The timetable is almost finished now, or finished, I really don't know and according to that I have Wednesdays and Fridays off, which is lovely. But I have two lectures in Llanbadarn, so I better find a shortcut for getting there.

yeah, ZUBA!

22.september

i have the second day off in a row (You'll learn to appreciate these day offs really quickly!) and I have, by some magic probably, the internet! (knock on the wood)

Nothing interestin, obviously. I mean, on tuesday, I helped Sandra, because she came to work for a week. I realised how much information you get on that one single day. And you need all of it. Quite bizarre. In the end it's just about getting used to everything and well the usual visitors make it a lot easier, because you know what they're going to order and how much they need to pay for it..

The second interesting thing was that I checked my timetable again.. and because I was pretty sure that it didn't have the seminars in it yet and well just to make sure I checked the module description and to my surprise I only have one scenography viewing missing from the timetable because the other two modules just don't have seminars. Wow, works fine with me, I think.

And my second Lomo film came back empty. Unfair! I was really depressed because of it, there were quite many interesting shots! Lasts shots from Estonia and the Liverpool and.. :(
And then I figured that it's probably because the cells are old.. Now I'm on the mission to get new ones..

That's about it.

19.september

There we go, I decided to try to update my blog in English also.

A quick overview.
My second week at work has come to an end, I'm still alive and I kind of know what I'm doing. That's good, I guess.
One day a customer got angry with me because there were a lot of people and well the other guy made her the coffee she wanted.. And then she just shouted at me that "You can't swap customers like that." and "I would never employ you to work with me!". Oh well, I wouldn't like to work for you either, so it's all good, I guess. Anyways she just had a bad day, it was extremly busy and the other guy Alex is a bit of a knobhead. He never does anything. During the main hour I had like 6 tables to serve and he had only 1. Fair? I don't think so.

On Thursday I went to see a play. I'll try to write a separate post about that (we'll see how that works out). Anyways, It was good, I think, anyway it made me want to go back and see more plays or the schoolyear to start already or..well, just made me miss the Theatreworld..

On friday there was this wierd girl at work. She was 18 and in college and had gotten the job through the college for work experience (which is actually a really nice thing!). But she was funny. Firstly when she heard I was 19, she asked if I go to college too and when I said I'm in the uni here, she was reaalllly surprised "But, but, you're so young!" and then I was like "Umm, okay, if you say so.." because most of the British people here are younger than me..So it didn't make any sense at all.. And then when she found out I lived alone, she was even more surprised. "You don't see your parents at all then???" and after that she was just quiet and shocked for a while. And she did the washing up, for 5 hours or so. Just the washing up, because she wasn't ALLOWED to do anything else. What?? But anyways, she was funny and wierd and made me smile :)

On saturday at work, some guy thought I was from Canada. Hello? I laughed at it every time I remember during the day. Just the little things I guess.
And then there's Mr.Hughes who is like 86 or something and thinks I'm from Lithuania, although I keep saying that I'm from Estonia. Oh well.
And then there's one guy who always when he arrives shouts "HELLO, Edith! I remember your name because of Edith Piaf!". He's a funny guy.
And today there was a guy who thought that Edith was a very lovely name.

Other than the adventures I have at work, there's nothing. Really. Living without the internet is awful. Only the moile internet isn't enough. But one day I will get my WiFi working here! I will! Somehow..

And.. days roll by working and if I'm not working I just curl up in my bed, drink tea and read something. Currently I'm reading "The Book Thief", which is an unbelievably sweet book. I've always known that I want to read it and now when I'm reading it I know that I made a right decission when I decided to read it. Yesh.
